Canadian Production Wheel

My Canadian Production Wheel

My First Spinning Wheel

We found this type of wheel at an antique shop near Traverse City in 1986.  These wheels are also classified as CPW, or Canadian Production Wheels.   Borduas was not the only type of Canadian Production Wheel.  Many of the existing wheels come from spinning factories in Quebec and Ontario before the 20th Century.  Usually, as did our wheel, they come with only one bobbin.  I calculated the wheel ratio as 17:1.

New label for packaging.  Printed a batch but then ran out of yellow ink.

Finally a blog for the farm and fibers

Just getting started with listing the fibers we have for sale.  We have a lot of alpaca blends, quilt batts and angora rabbit fiber.
